I believe the world is composed of nothing but qualities -- colors, sounds, temperatures, shapes, textures, movements, images, feelings, and so on. These qualities in order for them to exist, they must exist within the mind. Our consciousness is limited to the set amount of space it takes, and how we react to the different qualities gives us a perspective on these qualities. Our perspectives which in turn can be looked as an adaptation towards these qualities are what give us a personality. These qualities consist of the physical and of the spirit. The physical, the “matter” are what has a resistance to the mind. While the ones we call the spirit, the “mind” are those that have and inclination towards the mind yet none have a higher or lower value then the other. The variable that makes us all different is that we have different set amounts of space we occupy, thus all we can ever have is a perspective, and although some perspectives are no doubt better than others, none qualifies as the ultimate perspective.
