Although we found the examples helpful and the article easy to comprehend, we did not find that it would be any good for teaching to the elementary school aged child. We feel this way because the first line states itself; “From the time that students enter kindergarten through their elementary school years, they should have multiple experiences with patterns. ... ” This led us to believe that the elementary school aged child would not yet be prepared for this particular material quite yet. Although they would need a basic understanding of it for their future of learning math.
