Becket Honor Essay What is honor? Can honor affect people? Honor is a kind of respect and believes towards something or someone. Yes, honor can affect a lot of people in different ways. Thomas Becket and King Henry were best friends, until both of them believed and honored different things; then they went against each other. The movie Becket shows that honor is as essential as air to the lives of humans. King Henry and Thomas Becket used to be best friends. King Henry only trusted Thomas Becket and he made him the chancellor of England, later on he also made him the arch bishop of the church. During the movie Henry showed honor towards Thomas Becket by selecting him to become the arch bishop of England. One reason is that he wants to gain more power for England by letting Becket ruling the church.
