The “Disney” label means something: loved and adored by children and trusted by parents. Wholesome family entertainment is a trademark of the seventy year-old company, as well what was and still is put into the company to make sure Disney lives up to its reputation. ... The Disney Corporation has accomplished a level of success built around family entertainment, and is still one of the most flourishing retail companies of the century. ... This was all done by one man, Walter Elias Disney. Disney was born in Chicago, IL on December 5th, 1919, and was raised on a farm until he moved to the city after he turned 18. Walter’s father, Elias, was a strict and at times violent man, never being easy on young Disney for a second.
