Nichole Glessner OT 2 “The Problem of Sin” Based out of Psalm 51 So, the question is, “What is sin? ... I believe that sin is anything that goes against what God says in his word, the Bible. Also I believe that going against personal convictions is sin, as long as those convictions agree with what the Bible says. ... Furthermore if something is done that will bring someone else down, then it is sin, even if it doesn’t go against one’s personal convictions. ... ” So not only is sin anything that goes against God, but also there is no value on sin. If a person goes out and robs a bank, and another person tells a “little white lie”, in God’s eyes, one sin is just as bad as the other. It is man that put a value on sin. To be conceived in sin means that from the very second a person is conceived, they already have a sin nature, even though they have not actually sinned. ... ” Because of mans sin nature, not even the smallest, precious baby is innocent. A person can be cleansed from sin if and only if he is a Christian.
