Differences Between Leadership and Management The process that occurs whenever one person attempts to influence the behavior of an individual or group, regardless of the reason, defines leadership. Leadership is also a relational process involving interactions among leaders, members and sometimes third parties. Leadership is not about commanding and controlling people but about influencing them.
