The issue in this case is that Alaska Airlines has to deal with many challenges right now and it is important to get the issues settled so that they can move on. ... There are many social groups in this case that connect people because of their common interest, which is Alaska Airlines. The mechanics could be considered a social group because they all have the same profession and they are all working for Alaska Airlines. ... An example of a social network would be the key staff members of Alaska Airlines connected with the key staff members of other airlines through networks that involve airlines. Social connections are also important and shown in this case when the case talks about how the FFA and Alaska Airlines were “cozy.” That social connection could possibly allow Alaska Airlines to get away with some things because they had good social connections with the FFA. ...
