Welcome to the PASS/Robert Half Finance & Accounting CIMA tips special for November 2003 This Autumn we have once again teamed up with Robert Half Finance & Accounting bring you the best possible tips available to lend you a hand in the November sittings. The November 2003 sittings will go down as the first where students have been able to enter their exams online. This sitting will be the second where it will be compulsory for foundation level students to be assessed online, and follows on from the success of the summer introduction. The intermediate level continues to be based on multiple choice questions and so tips are harder to predict, prompting the term 'areas of emphasis' to be coined. Students, lecturers and CIMA have been scratching their heads since the release of the summer pass rates, as to what went wrong with Papers 8 and 9, where the pass rates were a very low 45% (see page 10 for advice on how to tackle these papers this time around). Meanwhile, there are a few syllabus changes to bear in mind from the May sittings.
