Descartes Mind Body problem
The origins of the mind/body problem occur in meditation II after Descartes proves “I think, therefore I am.” Descartes comes to the conclusion that he is a thinking thing since if he thinks that he is not a thinking then, then he is proving he is a thinking thing. The problem arises when he tries to figure out what that “thing” is . His solution is the intellect is stronger than the body and that the mind is better known than the body.
