Accomodation for special needs students in the music classroom
The article “Accommodations for special needs students: what we can do” offers alternatives to include special needs students into the regular music classroom. This article targets accommodations for students with reading, oral comprehension and mathematical difficulties. I t also makes us reflect on the teacher responsibility to know the needs of the students. The teacher has to create a learning environment that will allow the success of all students. ... Students with reading difficulties may have trouble staying focus with the text. In music there’s not only words but also symbols. Students may found it hard to keep focus on the letters (lyric).
