Columbian History in the Caribbean
When Colombus arrived to the Caribbean in 1492 there were already three groups of Indians on the islands. They estimate that there were between 300,000 to several million Amerindian inhabitants. It is believed that the Ciboneys were the ones to first arrive to the Caribbean. Christopher Colombus went in this expedition to find a new route to China, which he thought he had found but he didn’t.
