The city (Guatemala ) is where I am from it is the most modern and cosmopolitan city in Central America. Guatemala city it’s called Guate locally. My home town has a wonderful blend of old and new distinct Latin charms. Today, Guatemala City has two million inhabitants. Its location, facilities and the International Airport “La Aurora” make it the starting point for visiters to see the rest of Guatemala. Guatemala City was founded in 1776, after a devastating earthquake destroyed the former Spanish capital of Central America, known today as Antigua Guatemala (or simply Antigua). Most of the country's museums are here in my city. Me and my family would go every Thursday to see a playwright or to the museum.
