Paul Cezanne
Paul Cézanne was said to be one of the most important painters of his century. That title didn’t come easy. In Aix-en-Provence, France on January 19, 1839, Paul Cézanne was born. His father, Louis-Auguste Cézanne was the most successful banker in his hometown. His mother, Anne-Elisabeth-Honorine Aubert, gave birth to three children, Paul and two younger girls. Paul Cézanne always had a childhood friend, Emile Zola. It is believed that those two boys were best friends during school and stayed close throughout their lives.
