Due to the length of the paper, I will only expound on two of the many similarities and differences between the two countries violent periods of repression. ... To contrast the differences, I chose to focus on the difference in length of the conflicts, and the type of people who were subject to the majority of the killing. ... In these next two paragraphs I will further discuss and outline the current economies for both Argentina and Guatemala. ... The Guatemalan currency is the quetzal and the exchange rate is 8. ... Despite exporting many agricultural products, 50% of the Guatemalan citizens are malnourished. ... Inflation is lower by 3% and average family makes a little under three times what a Guatemalan family would make in a year. ...
