Glory is a historically accurate movie about the first black unit (The 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment) commissioned by the Union for fighting in the Civil War. Glory focuses in on a young Military Officer, Robert Gould Shaw (Matthew Broderick), taking command of the newly established 54th Massachusetts and training them to go into battle.
