The 80's

The 1980’s were a decade often noted for its technological advances. The new technology of the 80’s was a glimpse of what was to come in the near future. The government agency NASA was creating larger that life technology like the space shuttles. This sort of technology was very profitable. The greed for money in some cases over shadowed the need for sound technology. This was sadly displayed when the space shuttle challenger exploded on January 28, 2986. The journey into space was a large focus of the technology of the 1980’s. The creation of space shuttles that explore space was a fascination for many Americans. The government funded program NASA created five space shuttles in the 80’s, the Columbia, the Challenger, the Discovery, the Atlantis, and the Endeavor.
