A friend or foe

A Friend or Foe? Was the monster in Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein” a friend or foe? Some people would probably think of him as a friend because he was a very kind monster in the beginning. Some people would think that he is a foe because he killed people throughout the whole story. In the present, Frankenstein is seen as a story of a hideous and vicious monster named Frankenstein created by a mad scientist. While reading this book, I learned that this is not the truth. In fact, the scientist was named Frankenstein while the monster had no name. Most people are brought to believe that the scientist was mad, which he was in some respects, but he was not intended to be portrayed as being mad. Frankenstein is a novel about the inhuman monster and the mad scientist. In the book it seemed as though Mary Shelley wanted people to perceive the monster as an evil and wretched creature that was created by a gentle human being.
