In the play ‘Hamlet’ Shakespeare has introduced the seven soliloquies as a medium to show that Hamlet, as the play’s protagonist, is morally aware of his actions and is not simply blood thirsty for revenge. The language and form of the soliloquies clearly reveal Hamlet’s confusion and emphasises the anger and desperation he feels as he tries to justify the revenge he must take upon his uncle.
