The Trial of Sacco and Vanzetti was a case of controversy, and racial profiling. Neither Sacco nor Vanzetti had a criminal record, but were known as anarchist militants because of their radical political activities. ... On April 15th, 1920 Frederick Parmrnter and Alessandro Berardelli in south Braintree were shot and killed (Sacco and Vanzetti 1). ... At the time of Sacco and Vanzetti’s arrest both men were carrying guns. The gun that Sacco and been carrying was missing a round and gunpowder was later found on his hands and in the chamber. Vanzetti was tried first, in 1920 for the lesser of the two crimes and found guilty. ... The sentence that Vanzetti received was much harsher usual, ten to fifteen years. ... After Vanzetti’s first case was over, the two men felt a legal change was needed. ...
