... William Blake and John Keats were two very different authors. Blake would write about happiness in his Innocent poems and in the Experience poems, he wrote somewhat harsher lines. However, John Keats’ poems were full of depression, anger and suicidal thoughts.
William Blake didn’t begin his career as a poet. ... However, these poems are very different from John Keats. ... Keats didn’t begin as a poet, he actually wanted to be a surgeon. ... ) Eventually Keats began reading Leigh Hunt literature and gave up surgery to write poetry around age 18. ... They all had died from Tuberculosis and at age 26, Keats did as well. Since Keats had no family to be close with or friends to share these topics with, he expressed his thoughts in poems. ... Keats seemed to have taken that idea upon himself because the majority of his poems are sad. They are like William Blake’s experience songs but Keats are different because he actually knows the sorrow that are in the lines and not just reliving it from ones story or imagination.
