The Process of Tattooing Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about the five steps of the tattooing process. Central Idea: The four steps of the tattooing process are: deciding where to get a tattoo and what to get, finding a professional tattooist, and caring for your tattoo. Introduction A) I want the audience to imagine this for a second. 1) Imagine being poked in the arm several hundred times by a needle that is going 1/16 of an inch through your skin. Sounds painful huh? 2) Well although it sounds very painful, many people voluntarily indulge in this activity. II. I am guessing all of you are wondering what I a talking about. A) Well today I am going to talk to you about the five steps of tattooing process. They are: deciding where to get a tattoo and what to get, finding a professional tattooist, and caring for your tattoo. (Transition: let me start talking about step one of the tattooing process). Body I. Step one of the tattooing processes is deciding where to get your tattoo. A) Deciding where to get your tattoo will probably be one of the first questions you will ask yourself. 1) When asking yourself this question, if pain is an issue, do not get a tattoo close to your bone, because it will hurt more there, and to determine if it will hurt, use a method called the pinch test.
