keats study themes and techniques used in a mimimum of 3 of his peoms

From the poems you have studied, which themes and techniques can be identified? (Using a minimum of three poems)

I am going to concentrate on four poems by Keats which I have studied; “The Grasshopper and Cricket”, “When I have Fears”, “The Human Seasons” and “Why Did I Laugh Tonight?” Many of the poems have recurring themes and techniques which Keats cleverly uses to create the atmosphere he wants, giving his poems depth in meaning and tone. Keats was a poet through the Romantic Period so it is necessary to take into account the popular themes of that period. Keats was a very talented young poet and involved many techniques in order to make his points stronger. Repetition is used frequently to emphasise a point, whether it be to mislead the reader or to strengthen an underlying theme.

One of the recurring themes throughout these poems is that of death. The poets of the Romantic period often focused on nature as a theme for their poems, so unsurprisingly nature is a recurring theme throughout most of Keats poems. ... Although the grasshopper and the cricket are the focus point of the poem, there are underlying themes involved as well, such as the cycle of life and more ominously, death.
