Problem solving using the Delphi technique
Unlike the nominal group technique, Delphi technique does not require face-to-face communication. Two example situations where the problem solving technique can be applied are when: 1. Disagreements among individuals are so severe or politically unpalatable that the communication process must be refereed and/or anonymity assured. For example, when a committee consisting staff from different departments are making decisions, which would ultimately affect the allocated resources.
