The Seafarer
“The Seafarer” In the poem “The Seafarer”, a man finds himself alone at sea. While he is at sea he struggles with many problems. One problem in particular was the conflict between his past pagan beliefs and the new Christian ideals. Throughout the poem the man describes how things are changing with time. The theme, conflict between pagan and Christianity, is first shown by the decline of his pagan beliefs to the rise of the coming Christianity.
