Democracy is a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Democracy is spelled out very clearly in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. To be free is to have democracy, but in order to believe in democracy “You must believe that man is good. ... Man is good, and so is democracy. Democracy provides freedom, a republic, and gives people the right to govern. First, democracy was the best choice for the United States. ... People came to this country seeking freedom and liberty and the best way to insure those things is a democracy, “. ... Democracy allowed people to feel safe because there were not unfair laws that would suddenly put them in jail.
