All four websites have a pale background to create a relaxed atmosphere and to make the text easier to read. The only site to have an image incorporated in the background is the governmental site, which has an image of Great Britain, which is appropriate to the theme of the site. My site, cdnow.com and the governmental site have their logos in the top of the front page, this is because it is the first place the reader would automatically start when reading the front page.
