In reality, there are more divorced couples than married ones, more single parent families and gay families than the traditional married couple with two kids that is usually displayed on TV ads and retail store brochures. We see some independent families on television shows, for example on Home And Away or Neighbors you’d see some foster families or single parent families. But we don’t see independent families in advertising.
