WAL- MART: HOW THE CHAIN HAS CHANGED INTO A ONE STOP SHOP FOR CONSUMERS. Wal-Mart, the discount chain, was a store that had items for a lower price. I can remember, from childhood, that there were items that Wal-Mart did not carry, thus it was not a one-stop shopping place. I am not sure when it started to change but it has, and now Wal-Mart is a twenty- four hour (most of them) one stop shop for all consumers. I remember the first time I saw a Wal-Mart Super Center. I was amazed, not only did it have groceries but the Super Center also had a wide variety of other things that a normal Wal-Mart did not. ... I have seen the silicone pads at Wal-Mart for about thirty dollars. ... Wal-Mart has always had a pharmacy and first aid section, but now they sell minerals and vitamins.
