biogeochemical cylces

Life on earth is impacted a great deal by the environment and different chemicals. In recent years there has been a growing awareness of the extent in which human activities, such as fossil fuel burning, have directly altered and impacted the major biogeochemical cycles. The major biogeochemical cycles are: * The Carbon Cycle * The Water Cycle * The Nitrogen Cycle *The Phosphate Cycle These are the four major cycles that influence every day life. The average human knows about the water cycle, but the other cycles seem like a foreign language. In my own opinion I think the carbon cycle is the most important cycle to a living organism. The key events of the carbon cycle are the balanced reactions of respiration and photosynthesis. Respiration takes oxygen and carbohydrates and merges them to produce energy, carbon dioxide, and water.
