The Republican and Federalist parties set the precedent for political parties in America. ... The parties had many different ideals on current events, they also had very different views of what American should become in the future, like the republicans of the 18th century, they thought that America should have become an agrarian republic, and have a weak central government. ... All in all, the political parties have done many things that influence our country, from the strength of the central government to abortion, the political parties have had very different ideas and changes to the government.
