First, I would like to start out by telling you exactly what "Gastric Bypass Surgery." This surgical procedure can be called a number of different names: Bariatric Surgery, Stomach Stapling and Gastric Restrictive Surgery. The medical term for the surgery is Roux-en Y Gastric Bypass. This surgery reduces the size of the patients stomach to help him/her loose weight, long term. Now when I say it reduces the stomach after this surgery your stomach is reduced down to the size of a small egg. This surgery is the best option for people who are, as I previously stated, morbid obese. ... A persons overall well being is threatened by obesity related factors such as:
*High Blood Pressure *Respiratory Difficulties
*Diabetes *Sleep Apnea
*Cardiac Problems *Arthritic Symptoms
