Gatsby Essay Nick is a quiet and reflective character. He is open-minded and a great friend to Gatsby. Gatsby feels that he can trust Nick and always confide in him. But it’s not only Gatsby who confides in Nick, but everyone around him. Although a member of the middle-class, Nick is accepted by Gatsby and his somewhat “uppety” friends.
