The Recording Industry of America (RIAA) started to see what a big problem Mp3’s and file-sharing programs were to business. They began to sue the file-sharing designers themselves and tried to shut some of them down. “Napster,” which was one of the most popular Mp3 file-sharing programs used in 1999, was all over the news when RIAA had it shut down. Although, after shutting some of the programs down, Mp3 sharing didn’t seem to slow down because new programs were popping up left and right. ... ” On the opposite end of the argument, people against RIAA’s legal actions are saying that, “the goats, cattle, and roosters have already escaped, and now the farmers are shutting the barn door.
