Zuccotti Impact
I find it rare for a book to impart its tone and feeling effectively. Perhaps it is because I maintain a certain distance—a detachment to a piece of literature. Intellectually, I know that a passage is attempting to elicit a feeling from me—I can go so far as to identify that feeling—even imagine that I’m feeling it. But always there is a veil that separates a book, or an article, or even a selection of electronic text from me and my true feelings. Indeed this doesn’t stop at books—radio programs, television shows, and movies generally fail to touch the real emotions that each tries to reach.
