Tragic Hero

What qualities make a person a tragic hero? One man, Aristotle, came up with the qualities a tragic hero possesses. Examples of these traits are the hero’s nobility, his defeat, a tragic flaw, and pity from the audience. Many people feel that Macbeth, from William Shakespeare’s play Macbeth , is a tragic hero. However, many also feel that he is not a tragic hero. According to Aristotle’s definition Macbeth is not a tragic hero because he lacks good intentions, doesn’t willing commit the crime and shows no signs of enlightenment. ...
