monty python lexis

Monty Python analysis Because all of the variety in the scenes that I am analyzing where the actors language is specific to the genre it is placed in there is a lot of adaptations in the linguistic variety. I could either progress using scene by scene analysis or I could use character analysis, however I believe that analyzing the transcripts scene by scene is the most logical way forward. Lexical Choice (Meaning of life, Mr Creosote scene) I chose this scene to analyze because it has a huge variety of language used. It also has a language and power issue as it involves a customer and a waiter. John Cleese plays the part of a French waiter with the ominous task of serving the morbidly obese British “gentleman” that is Mr Creosote.
