Flesh or Demons
From the beginning man has been tormented by two spiritual evils, sin and demons. ... Two expressions called “our old man” or “the flesh”; both describe our corrupt, fallen, and sinful nature. ... In the other hand our problems with demons are not like sin. ... But sin and demons do go hand in hand because if we had never sinned our bodies would not be infected by demons. Demons have a similarity to cancer. ... Like demons that are constantly seeking for opportunity to invade a person sees that we are weak spiritually and are living in sin, we will be vulnerable to this invasion. ... The remedy for the flesh is the cross. We must daily crucify or put to death our fleshly and sinful ways meaning that we should resist bad passions and desires of the flesh.
