Question that arose while reading Smith
At face value many of the assertions made by Adam Smith seem fairly self evident; in the context of the time period in which the text was written, however, they can be termed nothing short of revolutionary. For the first reading I must admit I agree with much of what Smith has to say about the benefits wrought through the division of labor and the very nature of this labor itself. At the same time however I beg to differ from Smith over a few of his observations.
