Animal Rights: Singer vs. Regan Animal rights has, and continues to this day, to be a much talked about controversial topic. Many philosophers have taken opposing views regarding the rights of animals. “Is there a right or wrong answer concerning the treatment of animals?” is one of the major questions on the subject of animal rights. Many responses, however, are based upon individual opinion, so therefore there is no one right answer. Philosophers Peter Singer and Tom Regan raise two opposing arguments pertaining to animal rights.
