Australia’s changing identity: 1945-60
From the time period between 1945-1960, Australia’s profile and identity was changing rapidly. Identity factors included political structures, cultural and social profile and the economic system. The identity factors, as previously mentioned, were driven by external factors, such as the influence and effects that American culture had on Australia. ... Thus, it is perceived, when comparing Australia’s previous identity in 1945, and then assessing the year of 1960’s, it is apparent that many changes have occurred to a large extent, in various areas.
