world without fathers
The article entitled, “A World Without Fathers” written by David Popenoe really had a positive effect on me. ... According to Popenoe in just three short decades, between 1960 and 1990, the percentage of children living apart from their biological fathers more than doubled from 17 percent to 36 percent. ... Fathers emphasize the idea of play which has a unique significance in the child’s life. ... Lastly, I think its great that the fathers of today are more involved and active in the lives of their children than their own fathers and grandfathers were.
