Kurt Cobain
Kurt Cobain is a familiar name to most music fans, yet he holds quite an unfamiliar story. Even without knowing his life story, many people can recognize that Kurt Cobain was a true musician and writer. From the way he carried himself to his distinctive lyrics, one could tell that there was something special and unique about Kurt. Kurt Donald Cobain was born on February 20, 1967, in Hoquaim, Washington to Wendy Cobain, a cocktail waitress, and Donald Cobain, an automechanic. When Kurt was six months old, the young family moved to Aberdeen, a depressed and dying logging town. Kurt led a happy childhood, however, he was hyperactive and had trouble studying in school. ... As Kurt continued to play the guitar, his posture worsened due to its weight. For most of his life, Kurt was plagued with some sort of health problem. In 1975, when Kurt was eight, his parents divorced. It was a normal divorce, however, Kurt became troubled and upset by it. Kurt took the aftermath extremely hard. Wendy Cobain said, “He changed completely. ... Instead of the outgoing kid he once had been, Kurt became sullen, mad, and began to constantly ridicule others. ... In result from being lonely and lost, Kurt hated school. ... For most of his school years, the girls enjoyed spending as much time with Kurt as he liked to spend with them. The “macho boys” only came around Kurt to be with the girls.
