British Foreign Policy in 1990
In this essay I intend to briefly explain the main aims of British Foreign policy in 1990. I will outline what the British Foreign policy wanted to achieve and I will explain on the main figures involved such as Lord Salisbury. ... Also I will direct my essay towards the end of British Foreign policy and give facts and evidence as to what marked the end of the policy in 1990. Firstly, let’s look at the first main aim of British Foreign policy, the maintenance of security. This was a vital aim of the policy to keep Britain from a treat of invasion. This was a huge fear to British citizens, however unlikely or impossible it seamed to be. The landing of foreign troops on British soil remained a real concern and this was basically why the British maintenance of security had to be ready and prepared correctly for any possible treats that may arise.
