Public Education

Public education was not working for all students. Some children were being well educated in wealthy public schools with higher test scores, while others were stuck in schools deemed failing. There was no way for a poor child in a failing public school to get a good education and have a chance at going to college. President Bush needed to do something to “get tough” on education. So last January, he signed the “No Child Left Behind Act”, attempting to give all children in public schools a good education.
