compairasion of the lady of shallotand the eve of st agnes
The comparisons of "The Lady of Shallot" and Madeline from "The Eve of St. Agnes" are fairly obvious. The Lady of Shallot starts with the lady not able to look straight out the window least she be struck down. Madeline was told that on St. Agnes Eve, she must not look at a man and that if she follows the ritual properly that she will dream of her husband and have visions of delight.
