Some of the best early thrillers include Rear Window and North by Northwest. The more recent thrillers that are acclaimed as being the best are Silence of the Lambs and The Bone Collector. In this essay I will describe how thrillers have changed over the years and I will compare the action, characters and effects of both old and modern-day films.
