Marketing Mary Kay
Marketing is an interesting concept to say the least. ... While the proper use of marketing can make a company millions in profit, is it a necessity? According to Damaris Turner, my Sales Director with Mary Kay, marketing is very necessary. The late Mary Kay Ash founded Mary Kay Cosmetics in 1963. While sitting at her kitchen table, Mary Kay made two lists: one contained the good things she had seen in companies for which she had worked, the other featured things she thought could be improved. When she reviewed the lists, she realized that she had inadvertently created a marketing plan for a successful "dream company." Mary Kays initial goal remains intact: to provide women with an unlimited opportunity for personal and financial success. Mary Kay’s current motto is “ We’re enriching women lives!” Damaris said that marketing is essential to the success of Mary Kay cosmetics. Mary Kay does not spend money on outside advertisement in newspapers, magazines, radios, or television.
