Also developing were Latin rock, such as Santana, and Jazz rock, with groups like Blood, Sweat and Tears (“Rock Music”) In 1969, one of the most important music festivals in the history of rock music was held near Woodstock, New York. Michael Lang, John Roberts, Joel Rosenman, and Artie Kornfeld, an executive at Capitol Records, originally thought of the idea of Woodstock (“Woodstock Festival” Microsoft).
