Is the affirmative action policy still needed
Is the Affirmative Acton Policy still needed Does the affirmative action policy help or hinder? The affirmative action policy should not be a deciding factor when it comes to college admission programs. Even though the affirmative action policy has been active since 1961, when it was used to racially integrate the workforces, it is no longer needed because minorities have paved their way through society. The policy is supposed to increase opportunities for minorities by favoring them in such things as college admissions. ... College admission boards that have received previous complaints about the diversity of their school generally use the policy when determining admission status. But now, society is asking if the policy has out lived its initial purpose and is now serving as way for colleges to discriminate against students rather than helping them.
