The future of our country depends on a young generation, but there are a lot of problems American youth faces today. Illiteracy, fatherless families, teenage pregnancy and drugs are common today. A lot of state, federal, local programs with a good funding are helping young people to overcome these problems, G. Bush raises an important statement, regarding these programs: “The problems lie not in Washington, not just in the amount of tax dollars we spend, it lies in our neighborhoods.” I agree, that fixing our country requires our time, our volunteerism. Volunteering is an American tradition that over the years has made great contribution to our communities, organizations and individuals. There are a couple major benefits of volunteering. Volunteering makes economic contribution to society.
